Join the Cranbrook Institute of Science for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend as we, in honor of our Chocolate exhibition, give “Sweet Thanks” to kick off the holiday season. This Institute will feature activities and displays that feature not only chocolate; but other sweet gifts from nature, including maple sugar, honey, cane sugarand molasses. Make your own little sample of the ancient Mayan chocolate drink (not what you imagine!), explore the workings of a beehive, use a dichotomous key to identify jellybean “species,” and much more!
All activities and events run from 11 am to 4pm, November 22, 24, and 25 and are free with Museum admission.
