Explore the Institute for FREE during Interactive Intern Day, focusing on science, learning, and fun! Hosted by our Pontiac School District High School interns, guests will engage with winter- and cold-themed activities and performances, like:

  • Snowy Slime
  • Face Painting
  • Ornaments Snow Globes
  • Ice Fishing
  • Snowflakes
  • Gift Bag Decorating
  • Performances by the Interns
  • Holiday Tunes by the Greater Oakland Singers
  • Limited complimentary shortened planetarium shows - due to capacity these are first-come, first-served.

General admission is FREE to the public all day from 10am-5pm and hands-on activities will take place from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Registration is strongly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome, but due to capacity limits, entrance is not guaranteed.

Tickets to our newest traveling exhibit, Galileo: Scientist, Astronomer, Visionary can be purchased at the front desk upon arrival. Tickets range in price from $5-$8; children under 2 are FREE.
