Join us for a night with the stars! Members will have the opportunity to visit the Institute after hours for a members exclusive event. There will be hands-on space-themed activities, and children will have the chance to take their creations home! Plus, guests will have an opportunity to view the night sky in our observatory, and enjoy some free astronaut ice cream.

Take a tour of what the planets look like at night, how they move along their orbits, and some newer discoveries in an exclusive show just for members in the Acheson Planetarium. (space is limited, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis). The show will be playing throughout the evening at:

6:30pm
7:30pm
8:30pm

And you’re invited to join our Curator of Earth and Space Sciences for a special presentation, Are We Alone in the Universe? Learn all about the history of the search for life beyond Earth, and how scientists are continuing the hunt to this day. The presentation will take place at 7:30pm in the auditorium - space is limited, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visitors can also enjoy our latest traveling exhibit, SPACE: A Journey to Our Future, before it’s gone. Explore the past, present, and future of human spaceflight in this hands-on, interactive exhibit, see a REAL piece of the Moon, tour a full-scale future lunar habitat, and more.

SPACE: A Journey to Our Future is presented by PNC Bank with support from GM.
