Join us for Discovery Days: Bats, Bones, and Bubbles, a thrilling day of family-friendly science adventures designed for curious kids and their grown-ups. Explore hands-on experiments, meet fascinating "monsters," investigate mysterious bones, and more!
Featured activities include:
- Meet insects, spiders, snakes, and other creatures.
- Get hands-on with the hair-raising Van de Graaff generator.
- Become a bone detective and investigate real owl pellets.
- Create your own Venus flytrap craft.
- Explore eerie mists and bubbling science demonstrations.
- Navigate a bat-inspired maze challenge.
- Take part in a not-so-scary scavenger hunt.
Plus crafts, games, fossil digging, exhibit exploration, and more!
Halloween costumes encouraged!
Recommended for families with children ages 8 and under.
Admission
- Discovery Days activities are included with museum admission - which is free for members!
- Spend more of your time enjoying the exhibits and activities by registering in advance online.
- Add on an Acheson Planetarium program ticket to discover even more during your visit!
Member tickets are currently available onsite only. Please bring your membership card and ID card (such as a Driver’s license) to Cranbrook Institute of Science to reserve your tickets. We appreciate your patience while we transition to a new member registration experience.
