Skip the Black Friday madness and head over to the museum for a day FULL of STEAM activities! Learn all about space and celestial objects through hands-on activities, experiment with robotics, and even practice turkey calls in honor of Thanksgiving! Activities are FREE with the purchase of museum admission.
Activities include:
- Learning how to use a telescope to view outer space
- Testing your robotic skills with the Spheros challenge
- Do you know your meteors?
- Coloring activities inspired by the visionary Galileo
- Seeing the world in a different way through diffraction glasses
- Understanding and identifying Moon Phases
- Experiencing engineering and electronics principles through play with snap circuits!
- Using a diffraction grating, separate light into its constituent colors to discover the hidden "fingerprints" of the stars!
Learn more about Galileo in our newest traveling exhibit, Galileo: Scientist, Astronomer, Visionary. Galileo is open during regular museum hours and has an additional cost of $5 - $8 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk.
