Learn about the world around us and join the Institute and ReLeaf Michigan for an immersive Tree Tour! Explore the outdoors with an arborist-led walking tour of the rare and remarkable trees that can be found on Cranbrook’s campus. Experience includes:
- The opportunity to learn about trees, tree identification, the life cycles of trees, and the importance of maintaining tree canopies.
- Ask questions and get answers from 12:00 - 3:00pm during our open discussion with expert arborist Steve Turner, contract arborist for Cranbrook Gardens, who has more than 30 years experience diagnosing and caring for trees in metro Detroit.

The first tour begins at 11:00am and the second tour begins at 1:00pm. Both are limited to 25 participants each.
Tickets for the event are $20 per person and includes general admission to the museum. This event is designed for ages 12 and up.
Reserve your spot today! Tickets to our newest traveling exhibit, Trilobite Treasures can be purchased at the front desk upon arrival. Tickets range in price from $1 - $3 per person.
This tour is not limited to sidewalks and proper footwear is recommended. The arborist-led walk will last approximately one hour, and then attendees can participate in a post-tour discussion with the arborist before exploring the Institute of Science.
