The Eclipse peaks at 2:27pm
NOTE: Thank you for your interest. We expect very large crowds during the Eclipse Event. The following information will help assure you have the best experience possible.
The event is free with Museum admission. No pre-registration is required or available.
A very limited supply of eclipse glasses will be available for purchase by paid attendees in the Science Shop the day of the event. Glasses will be sold on a first come, first served basis until they are sold out.
The Cranbrook Observatory will be open noon until 4pm and guests will be admitted in small groups. Time in the Observatory will be limited.
Livestreaming from regions in totality will begin when NASA begins streaming at 1pm. Seating will be offered on a first come, first-served basis.
We will offer make-your-own Pinhole Eclipse Projectors using a 3” x 5” card.
A solar viewing telescope will be available in the Erb Family Science Garden.
Planetarium programs and Tut Exhibition will be offered at an additional charge.
The Reflections Café will be open during the event.
