State-of-the-Art Observatory Facility

A new telescope and renovation of the observatory will create a state-of-the-art celestial facility to complement the Institute’s recently upgraded planetarium technology.

Creating a stand-alone Center for Watershed Education to serve as a premier program and resource facility allows us to educate and promote the critical importance of watershed education in the Great Lakes region

Early Childhood Discovery Center

An upgrade of programs and spaces tailored to our youngest scientists learners through the creation of an Early Childhood Discovery Center and renovation of our lower-level learning labs and classrooms.

Interactive Anthropology Gallery

The creation of a 1,300 square foot interactive anthropology hall that together with the Flint Anthropology Gallery will show case the very best objects in the Institute’s nationally-recognized anthropology collection featuring artifacts from around the world.
