Art and Science Summer Teacher Workshops: Sessions 1 and 2

Thank you so much to all the teachers who attended sessions 1 and 2 of our first ever Cranbrook Art and Science on the Go Summer Teacher Workshops 2012! This free educators' program, which was funded by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation played host to K-12 teachers from the northern half of the lower peninsula of Michigan. We are currently receiving feedback from these sessions and overall everything has been very positive! All teachers who attended gave us the highest rating of “very good” for their overall experience and also all said that they would be “very likely” to recommend the workshops to a colleague. (We’re glad everyone had a good time with us!) Here are some of the comments we’re received so far from educators who attended…

This has been the BEST professional development I have ever been to! (12 years) I have so many new ideas and I LOVE that you put it all on a jump drive for us when we have forgotten details!

I think a great job was done by all! I appreciated the way we were treated as professionals, the acceptance of our opinions + suggestions, the mix of hands on and differentiated instruction and the lengths the instructors went to in explaining all of the possible connections. All of the instructors were extremely knowledgeable and it was great having some of the sessions taught by the directors. Their involvement showed the sincerity of the mission of this workshop.

It was very well executed. The facilitators and all instructors were kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subject area. It was a bit intense in the time/info area, but I understand you were making the most of every moment! It was awesome. I hope you continue this conference. Thank you.

We look forward to meeting and working with all the teachers that will be attending our completely filled 3rd session in August!
