Planned Giving
Planned gifts to Cranbrook Institute of Science allow donors to impact our educational community well byond their lifetime. In many cases, planned giving provides helpful financial benefits to the donor through tax breaks. A gift to Cranbrook Institute of Science that is part of a thoughtful, comprehensive estate plan provides a way to complete a lifetime of giving or to make a significant gift that was not possible to make during your lifetime.
Planned gifts include:
- Bequests (select from above menu for more info)
- Life Income Gifts (select from above menu for more info) including charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and pooled income funds
- Retirement assets, including individual retirement accounts, 401K and Keogh plans
- Charitable lead trusts (select from above menu for more info)
- Gifts of securities and property
- Life insurance
As always, Cranbrook Institute of Science encourages you to consult with your attorney, accountant or other professional advisor to confirm the financial benefits of a planned gift, to review any legal document associated with a gift, and to determine its appropriateness in light of your personal financial circumstances.
