Explore the fascinating world of nocturnal animals and learn about their adaptations for living at night. See live night creatures including bats, flying squirrels, owls, sugar gliders, and a two-toed sloth!

Tour Schedule

September - May

  • Saturday 12:30 and 2:30pm

Mid-June - August

  • Monday - Saturday 12:30 and 2:30pm

$5 for general public; $4 Cranbrook and OBC members.

Friday and Saturday Night Bat Walks at the Institute of Science

Join the Organization for Bat Conservation at the Institute of Science for an evening Bat Walk every Friday and Saturday (except July 4 and August 7 and 8) from June 19-August 29 as they search for bats on the grounds of Cranbrook. Bat Zone educators will discuss bat habitat, the use of bat houses for pest control, and the threats bat face, as well as demonstrate echolocation using with bat detectors. Tickets are $5 ($4 members) at the Cranbrook Institute of Science front desk.
