Black Beauty

Black BeautyBLACK BEAUTY is a reconstruction of a T. rex skeleton found by three high school students in Alberta, Canada, in 1981. The fossil was named Black Beauty because of its color, which comes from minerals that accumulated in the bones during fossilization.

 

 


Steggy

SteggySTEGGY was installed in front of the Institute of Science to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the museum. This Stegosaurus was created at the New York studios of Louis Paul Jonas and installed in the fall of 1980 across from the museum entrance.
