ArchelonARCHELON was the world’s largest sea turtle – about the size of a classic VW Beetle! It differs from modern turtles in two ways. First, its shell wasn’t hard, but leathery in texture, and supported by a skeletal framework underneath; and second, it had unusually wide, flipper-like arms and legs.

pteranodonPTERANODON, or “toothless wing” were some of the largest known flying reptiles, with wingspans over 6 meters! This flying reptile is only distantly related to prehistoric birds which evolved from small, feathered dinosaurs.
