Grades 3 – Adult

Focus on the remarkable natural history of the bedrock geology of the Great Lakes region in the small group setting of our Geo-Lab classroom. Student teams explore questions about the environment and paleoecology of the Middle Paleozoic seas and tropical reefs of the mid-continent region through study of rocks and fossils from Michigan and Ontario, along with video clips of study sites such as Thunder Bay Island (as seen on the History Channel). The program will include a tour of the Geo-Paleo prep lab and a take away surprise for each participant.
