Folds & Fractals Registration

Preference will be given to previously wait-listed schools in scheduling.

The Folds & Fractals program will run from March 11, 2014 to mid-May, 2014 and spaces are limited! While we do our best to accomodate date requests, we try to coordinate our trips so we can visit nearby schools during the same week.

Developed and researched by Cranbrook Institute of Science Geologist and Paleontologist John Zawiskie, in collaboration with the Program Source International video company, The Geology of Michigan takes viewers through billions of years of geological history to discover the events that created, and continue to impact, the Great Lakes and surrounding area. John Zawiskie will be on hand to answer questions about the project and copies of the DVD will be available for purchase. This event is free but due to seating limitations pre-registration by phone is required.

Distance learning enables students to connect with our scientists and become active participants in the learning experience. Programs address national standards and align with the Michigan GLCEs. Each 45-minute program includes teacher resource information, a session outline and any required activity kits.
