42nd Annual Maple Festival

The Institute is excited to present a favorite rite of spring. All activities are open to the public. In addition to maple-themed snacks, guests are invited to learn about the science of maple syrup production, listen to the story of sugaring in Colonial North America and taste the pure sweetness of homemade maple candy. In addition to craft stations and hands-on table top activities, timed planetarium shows, story hour and a self-guided walk to the maple evaporator will also be available.

Member Only Maple Breakfast & Festival

Join us for a full Maple meal featuring pancakes and pure maple syrup as well as seasonal indoor and outdoor activities at our Annual Maple Breakfast and Festival. This event is open ONLY to Institute Members who pre-register for the Breakfast. Festival programs include the making of maple sugar candy, sap evaporator demonstrations in the sugar hut and more.

Michigan made maple products including syrup, cream and candy will be sold at the Science Shop.

38th Annual Members Only Maple Breakfast and Festival

Join Cranbrook for its 38th Annual Maple Breakfast and Festival including a full brunch featuring pancakes and genuine Michigan maple syrup served among the exhibits throughout the museum at 9, 10 & 11 am. After brunch, enjoy indoor and outdoor Festival activities and learn about the science of maple syrup production.

The Science Shop offers Michigan made maple products including syrup, cream, candy and more throughout March.

The Museum and Festival activities are open only to registered attendees on March 4.
