Halloween Science Session 2

Halloween Science is the most popular annual educational experience the Institute offers. This year features Dr. Kelp with the results of his expedition in search of living non-avian dinosaurs from a Lost World plateau in South America; as well as science demo stations (dry ice, pyro pumpkins, hair raising Van de Graaff generator and a roaming ninja); make and take activities; a scavenger hunt and much more!  Throughout the event visitors can see the Bat Zone’s Vampire Bats or travel back to the Cretaceous era and visit Dinosaurs –The Lost World in the Traveling Exhibit Hall.  Head outside and see the Institute’s three-ton trebuchet, a modern version of a medieval siege weapon, hurl objects into the air!

The Reflections Café will be open with spooktacular Halloween snacks for purchase.

Costumes are encouraged!

Halloween Science tickets for pre-registered attendees:

$13 per child and $2 per adult for Members
$16 per child and $5 per adult for the general public

Pre-registration closes at 5pm Thursday, October 17.

Only pre-registered guests are guaranteed a goodie bag.

Walk-up tickets are an additional $3 each at the start of the event and availability is not guaranteed.

The Institute will close at 5pm Thursday, October 17 and will remain closed until 2pm on Saturday, October, 19.
